Free Community Concert to Honor Veterans

The 7th Annual Songs of Freedom: Salute to Our Veterans Concert is November 10 at 7PM at St Edward Catholic Church, 601 W. C St., Shelton. A community choir of 55 voices under the direction of Beth Johnston and Suzanne Montgomery (shown above), has joined to sing familiar patriotic songs, touching songs of dedication and sacrifice, and songs that were, and are, meaningful to our men and women in uniform. For many, the high point of the concert is "Salute to the Armed Forces" when the service song for each branch of the military is sung. Veterans of that branch are invited to stand to be acknowledged and supporters (wives and husbands, sons and daughters, etc.) are also recognized. The concert is free and does not require tickets.
